"The soul returns to earth in a body similar to its last one and has similar talents and inclinations." (Plato)
“As to Judaism, from time to time in Jewish history, there has been an insistent belief that their prophets are reborn.... Among the Hebrew population at the time of Jesus, there were many speculations as to whether he was Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the other prophets (Matthew 16:13-14). Some centuries later, the Jewish Cabalists ... taught that, when an individual no longer needs to be reborn for his own progress, he ‘can out of compassion for the world repeatedly return to help it.’” (A New Horizon in Science, Religion, and Society, by Sylvia Cranston and Carey Williams, p. 178)
"Everyone dies, and after this comes a debriefing [a life review in order to plan the next one]." (Hebrews 9:27, literal translation)
"He who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it." (Revelation 3:12, emphasis added)
“It is absolutely necessary that the soul shall be healed and purified, and if it doesn’t take place in one life on earth, it must be accomplished in future earthly lives.” (Saint Gregory, Bishop of Nyssa, c. 335 - about 394 A.D.)
"How can you make denial of Allah, who made you live again when you died, will make you dead again, and then alive again, until you finally return to him?" (The Koran [2.28])

From ancient times, people knew about reincarnation. They didn't have the benefit, however, of the past-life regression therapy and past-life-matching protocols that now are available to those who want to investigate the soul's journey through time. But in both Judaism (with the exception of the Sadducees, who were skeptical about any kind of afterlife) and early Christianity, reincarnation was understood and accepted.
However, the Roman Emperor Constantine (306-337 A.D.) began a process -- eventually completed by Emperor Justinian (527-565 A.D.) -- where an unholy alliance of Christianity and political power was created. And those who followed twisted and denied what the Jewish rabbi and reformer Yeshua of Nazareth ("Jesus Christ"), had revealed and taught, creating an institutionalized religion that would have horrified him.
The Council of Nicea added various commentaries and writings from a Christian perspective to the Jewish writings known as the Septuagint to create what is now called the Bible. However, in doing so, they deliberately excluded significant Jewish and Christian writings that would have threatened their religious agenda. And problematic passages in books that remained (such as Hebrews 9:27) have been mistranslated for almost 2,000 years so as to give different or even opposite meanings.
Evidence of the censorship that occurred -- and what has been happening on planet Earth for hundreds of thousands of years -- remains in the Bible, however. Just a few examples include the prophet Ezekiel's description of an extraterrestrial space vehicle, references to the "sons of the gods" (advanced beings from other solar systems) having children by earth women, and an authoritative reference to the book of Enoch in the New Testament book of Jude (even though the book of Enoch was excluded from the Bible due to its references to advanced beings from other planets and more).
Ancient writings from other religious traditions in Asia and the Middle East -- not to mention the history of Britannia (ancient Great Britain) and France give details about Jesus' extensive spiritual training in various countries throughout the world before embarking on his ministry in Judea -- and the subsequent travels of key groups of his disciples to Britannia, France, India after his resurrection/ascension.
The Roman Empire-controlled Church became anti-Semitic and anti-woman -- and changed Yeshua's teachings about the Creator's love and compassion for all humankind into a fear-based religious system emphasizing sin, judgment and the idea of a permanent hell imposed by a punitive Creator. Most of all, it ruthlessly suppressed individual choice, free will and the individual conscience -- and created the teaching that Yeshua was one-and-the-same with the Prime Creator of the universe.
The fact of reincarnation -- the self-learning, evolutionary journey of each soul through multiple incarnations over time -- was a huge threat to such a man-made system. Therefore, the teaching of reincarnation was outlawed and declared "heretical" along with the writings of the Church Father Origen (who had written extensively about it).
This powerful and wealthy religious system mandated that people be coerced, manipulated and even terrorized into believing that salvation from hell is only for those who submit to the Church ... that human beings have only one life to "get right with God" ... and that an eternity of fiery torment awaits the non-evangelized and nonconforming. But as the Bible itself says, the Creator "... has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." And God's very essence is love.
Moreover, a new (and greater) spiritual reformation and renaissance are dawning. Decades of scientific research about near-death experiences, reincarnation and human consciousness -- not to mention the emerging fields of past-life regression therapy, quantum physics, collective consciousness and intentionality -- have begun to pervade the global consciousness. As a result, increasing numbers of thinking people are asking questions about reincarnation ... and more.
This website exists to help you explore reincarnation and related ideas -- and begin thinking about the trajectory of your own soul.
All seekers are welcome here. May "the God of all there is," the Creator, give you peace and joy.
